    Default Your oath never expires...

How many took it? How many stand by it? how many believe that it never expires?

    Oath of Enlistment
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

    Officers Oath

I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God

My obligation ended in 2004 for anything military related.
Now I just look out for my friends and family to protect.

    Was never enlisted.

I would say that the "Oath of Enlistment" should follow the Pledge of Allegiance, for civilian folk.

Thanks for posting. Didn't know about those.

The problem is that if something were to happen to the civil structure of the US the people with legal obligations to this oath, and those that follow it after the fact will be enemies.

Follow your heart, not some mass recited verse that often contradicts it's self.
