Apparently Green Mountain sells them for $629 when they can get them in. Last time I called they had 80 or so on a waitlist and were no longer putting anyone on the waitlist.
I believe that Firing Line had one Wed for $650 or so. It is likely gone by now. To me- I see nothing special about the SR1911, other than the fact that it is hard to get. I would never actually drop the dough to purchase one. The best bang for the buck imho in the 1911 world is the Springfield Range Officer. Springfield's customer service is 2nd to NONE.
I've had mine since early May and have been enjoying it ever since!

The one cool thing about the Ruger is the plunger tube is made as an integral part of the frame. No chance of it ever coming loose. Besides that it's just a nice, entry level 1911 as far as I am concerned.
