Default Colt New Agent, what is happening?

    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone could tell me what I am seeing here and what/if anything needs to be done.
This image is of a Colt New Agent in 9mm. It has 147 rounds through it of Speer 115gr.
When purchased I cleaned it and lubed it. Using TWB-25 as the grease portion.

When taking it apart to clean it after the last range trip this is what I see,

There were no malfunctions at all when firing and groups were good after getting the feel of the sights. But I am really concerned with what I see and can feel in the areas in the circle.
All Magazines used are original factory colt.
    Any ideas or opinions welcome.

    TIA

Give Bert with BP Tactical a PM (his contact information is in the industry partners section) he can figure it out. That does not look normal or very good.....

Agreed, not normal at all. Typically the slide is hard enough in there that only a hardened tool such as a file or chisel would ding it that deeply.
I would say a factory defect, we can clean it up so don't despair.
