Made bread pudding for Xmas eve dinner. Unbeknownst to me, the recipe made room for an extra 2 cups of custard for the cook to drink while the pudding was in the oven. The custard included a total of 3oz of Bourbon (Buffalo Trace). That blew eggnog away.

Sounds like a great combination. I like blending flavors, textures, wines and liquors. Irish Cream and Buffalo Trace. Peach cordial and Buffalo Trace. Ruby Port and Buffalo Trace. There may be a pattern there.
Btw, I still have the last 375 bottle of Rhubarb cordial waiting for you. It's aging at the cabin. For sure I'll be making more next year.

Buffalo Trace can do that to ya. Rich, hot stuff.
The rhubarb is here in PV. But if I'm in Palisade when you head west I can show you the garage home winery. Desert hillbilly style in metal-building-ville. On New Year's Day I bottled carboys of 2015 Cab Sauv and Cab Franc, and racked the 2016 Riesling.
No room for that in the tiny PV cabin. Still struggling with the middle of winter move into an uninsulated cabin and heating with a wood stove. Brought over a 3/4 cord trailer load of apple wood so that helps extend the spruce-fir fire.
Pic above was last evening at the Peaceful Valley willow carr where I hiked with two old friends. I sipped the Southwick's.
Want to have you over for elk steaks after Brian delivers my Omega. We'll sip some rhubarb afterward.
Had these last weekend.
I posted one of these once before and someone (I think ray1970) asked where I got them. I saw them at Total Beverage last weekend. If I remember correctly, the one I posted was some special edition version of one of these. I'm going to go get these tonight and try them out.
