    Default Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!!

Take a moment this weekend to honor those who have made the ultimate
sacrifice for all of our freedoms. They all are true heroes and will never be forgotten.

Thank you all for your service to this country and am honored to have served my country.
Those who are activly deployed right now protecting our
freedoms, stay safe and thank you for your service.

Of the pictures that reminds me the most of Memorial weekend and its true meaning.

    This is one

Aug 1998 firing from the Red Sea on Sudan, I pressed #7 bird to fly. All 30 Tomoahawks fired that day from my ship
and another ship on station with us hit their target with the exception of 2 birds that splashed. 1 from each ship splashed.
I believe a total of 30 or 33 were fired that day!!!

HAHAHA, we pushed them hard enough!!!!!

What happened was that the wings did not
deploy for them and then after 1-2 miles they splash. I beleieve EOD was
    dispatched to retreive the ordnance.
Seeing as there is a unit,at the time in Bahrain or Saudi or even in Djibouti, forget which.

On a different note, the only thing I know about EOD is, bomb patrol afganistan. That job seems like a rush and terrifying all at the same time.

+1 on that. The only experience I have with EOD guys is when we were training. Every once and while a claymore or 40mm he grenade would not go off and they would get called out to take care of it.
