Default barrel cut down, what do I do?

So what paperwork do I need to submit to make it ok to have a short barrel rifle? I am cutting mine down to 12.5". Just getting a barrel cut down, not buying anything else.

Dont cut it until you have an APPROVED Form 1 in hand.......or is it Form 4??

Form 1 to manufacture a Short barrel Rifle.

You send off the paperwork to the ATF and a check for $200. Then wait 6 months for the paperwork to come back. Then you can shorten the barrel.

I would recommend a trust or LLC. I did LLC, but it's up to you. There are some good threads under NFA section here.
