Phalanx C.W.I.S. since we are getting into weapons systems that we probably
couldn't ever own legally and functionally.
One for the front 1/2 of the house and then one in the reear 1/2 of the house. to have overlapping fields of fire.
*****Neat little piece of trivia, the Phalanx has NEVER failed in any engagements in testing. The only reason it has
ever failed in the real world was due to the complex mechanical and electrical systems that operatie it.******

Our Fire Controlmen (FC) a couple of times while in port or at sea, not in a combat environment,
would still stay up troubleshooting and repairing the "Sea Chicken" until she was up and running
and would not rest until it was up and running. We had some bada** FCs and had a lot of respect
for themover the other FCs and felt c onfident that in the times we would need the Phalanx, that
they would come through for the ship.
