Hi guys! I just joined and luckily I found this thread, so my first post is about Jeeps! Here is my '96 XJ. It's about a 3.5" lift with 31's. She's a pavement princess with about 290k on the clock, so no 4 wheeling for her. When I hit the trails it's on my dirt bike.
Here is my oldest son and I at the top of Red Cone 4 years ago.

All OEM Replacement parts from Napa. Cheaper than any after market DOM steering kit I could find, hell even cheaper than piecing one together.. Plus no knuckle mods to be done, just bolt on and go.
I used a stock XJ drag link as its allready a solid link. The tie rod is off any V8 ZJ (93-98? I think) and its also a solid link, 1" OD with larger rod ends than the XJ got stock.
Not as strong as going with a DOM kit maybe but this truck wont see hard core trails so I think it will be more than adequate.
Yes sir. The only thing that I've had to do, is a valve job at around 260ish IIRC. The 4.0 engines are awesome. I call them " the Cummins of gas engines". I'm also OCD about maintainence so that helps. The Aisin auto trannies in them are incredible too. It's never had any work done to it other than services.
