Definitely rare with a big R. I ran into one of those amphibs in Europe. A Belgian guy brought one to a reinactment.

I will be heading down to the Springs on the 22nd. Who is down for a run? I'm good with anything from CR down to Springs. Let's do it!
I went and did Pole Hill Road with a buddy today. We both got epically stuck in the mud pit and had to be tugged out. I'm going to have to spend a good part of my day tomorrow pulling skids and wheels off to clean all the mud out. Had a healthy vibration at 55+ even after rinsing it off in Loveland. I'll get pics and video up later.
Part of the fun of getting it stuck is getting it unstuck. Can't say I enjoy the clean up afterwards though. My rig is in the garage right now with a strange stumble. Might be the fuel pressure regulator. Waiting on parts sucks.

If a stumbling motor was my only problem, I'd have it fixed already. Unfortunately, my DD blew a tranny and I have to fix it asap. Driving my truck is costing me a fortune.

Do you commute up to Cheyenne?
Yep, wife too, so we drive up and back on average 6 days/week.

I thought I read somewhere that you had recently got a Jeep. Sweet!
