Some picts from today, we were checking the conditions on Kelly Flats with the FS, still too muddy to open, maybe next weekend.
I got to take a brand new FS employee through The Chutes.
Very nice! We ran into a FS employee last Sunday on Rampart, he was "investigating". Someone had completely destroyed the trail, it was a deep bog that someone got stuck in, and cut down trees to try and get out. Additionally people cut through the Forrest to get around the bog. Very unfortunate to say the least. Ranger gave us permission to use the illegal trail to go around, I'd have attempted the bog if I didn't have my young boys with me (even tho I have a winch).Originally Posted by newracer

You bought a Rubicon and want an easy trail? Sounds like the majority of Rubicon owners, damn those car salesman are good....
Haha. Thanks Hurley. 3rd jeep. Just wanted a trail to get the feel of it. Let me know if you want to wheel and shoot sometime. Always looking for fun trips.

Sounds good man, always wanted to put my Taco against a Rubicon lol.
Three weeks of rain made it more pothole than road. I'd still rather drive it than any cul-de-sac.Must be nice
Did Kelly Flats years ago. Heard it was smoothed out because of one property owner. Good to see the fun stuff is still there.
As far as dumb asses farking up the trails, they are ruining it for all of us. Pick your poison and there is a percentage that stands head and shoulders above all the other idiots.
Getting my rig moving after a couple of years. Tracked the problem down to the dist. New Pertronix Ignitor is on the way.

Dakan/Hidden Valley/Rampart... my buddy lead the way on this one... don't know the area all that well, but it was pretty fun.
Body armor tube doors. Craigslist....
