And ended after one attempt. The first attempt to track a suspicious sale didn't work because the Mexican government didn't do their part and follow the gunrunners. The ATF ended the operation then. A couple years later obama administration started their own program of gunrunning and made no effort to follow the guns.

Because most of those were purchased from international weapons dealers. Cartel, military, open season on LE,s Judges and media that thinks about opposing them. Get it out of your head the US supplied the cartels with automatic weapons. better yet if the media would realize F&F failed and large purchases of any firearm is not from straw purchases but cash & carry ops within mexico.

It also removes many of the stigmas associated with guns that has been used as propaganda in the past. It also means bigger profits for gun manufacturers and all associated business'. This translates into greater lobbying power for 2A supporters. The climate doesn't seem right for an AWB.

I'm going to agree with this. There are more gun owners in America than at any time in the past century.

A few reasons there are more guns

1) Most of then guns were purchased by people who were too young, or as i see here not born yet, for ownership of them pre 94

2) More people have become of age to own handguns, get their CCW, nationwide. Thanks in part to more states issuing them.

3) Age again up to O's getting elected and panic buying right after.

4) The buyers who were unprepared when the AWB was passed in 94 and paid obscene prices on guns & magazines.

5) Hoarders who don't want to pay high prices (again) and have gone on buying sprees.

6) The i want something off radar so the .gov doesn't know i have guns. EVEN though they have a hunter safety card, CCW etc.
