    Default Rebar Cutter

    Anybody ever actually used one of these or seen one used? Doesn't really seem like a good idea to me.

    Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    I never understood why they would be used, but someone put up some pictures of soldiers (with blurred faces) using them in Iraq to go through the rebar in walls and ceilings of buildings when they were making an entrance that wasn't through the door.

    When you blast holes in reinforced concrete walls, the rebar remains. These allow proper postitioning and enough venting to make it a safer operation. It's a combat tool, and safer than the alternatives.

    This thing only works with M855, and only sometimes at that. Never good shooting at metal that close to the barrel, too many uncontrolled fragments.

    That's what I was thinking. Of course, I've never used one or know anybody who's used one.
