From what we translated "brain hurts" is a headache. It sucks when there young and they cant quite tell you what is wrong..............

meningitis is horrible............ I work in human services specifically developmental and physical disabilities and have seen what "spinal meningitis" can do. Take a normal everyday guy and make him need complete assistance. Nothing to scoff about. Nasty shite. It scare me to think of all the DANGERS in the world and kids are so completely innocent and have no clue what the real world is capable of. When I read stories of abuse I just want ring their necks.

    Awesome story. Cherish it.

My youngest is 20 and while I know that both of my kids love me, I really believe they'd be just as happy to have me someplace far away. I miss the times like you shared.

Ouch, I hate to hear things like that, I truly hope that isnt the case. That would break my heart if my boys feel this way one day.

Damn! You wife is bad ass! Glad to hear she beat that! And OP - great story. Kids are so innocent. It's hard to see them suffer.

As for the term "play date", I'm not real comfortable with that myself. Maybe the gay-activist lefties introduced this term into schools as part of their semantic infiltration. I never had a "date" with a boy when I was a kid.

Hehheh, thanks, I'll let her know that! No permanent damage, but an interesting story as to the cause. Her case is published in a medical journal!

Yeah, when did it change from "Go the hell outside and play" to "Let's schedule a play date for our little preciouses"?

Great story! Real men do cry. My dad spent 29 years as a firefighter, toughest SOB I know... The night before I shipped out for basic training he cried and was a wreck. I told him not to worry, I'll be fine, it wasn't as if I was deploying yet, he just shot back "I'm not crying out of fear, I've never been more proud in my entire life and it's just overwhelming."
Dads kick ass! They make us the men we are and I salute every father on here! Remember, father's day is coming up too...

Yes fathers day is coming up.
I have to stop by Pops resting spot before I move and tell him all will be fine.

It might be the last time my mother is able to see him.Although its just a place where hes burried-his spirit will allways follow us.
