    Default arrrgggggggggggh, stupid fox

    or more likely stupid me.

    so, we've had fox problems with the chickens lately.
    I'm just sitting inside and i start hearing them squawking (the whole "OMG, I'm going to get eaten squawk) so I grab the 22LR rifle by the door and run outside.

    I see it cruising away, I put the rifle up and click
    click
    dammit, cycle the action
    click
    dammit cycle the action
    click
    bang, hit the metal fence, fox just looks around.
    bang, hit the pole, fox just looks around, doesn't see me
    bang, nothing, decides to cruise back by the coop

    wait
    wait
    wait,
    clear the fence
    it's just trotting along, lead it just a bit
    bang
    fox keeps trotting
    damn

    look at metal pig watering trough

    nice 1/2" diameter hole in it

    shit!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Meh...it's probably the gun. Stupid gun. Good excuse to go buy another "more accurate" gun.

    Funny story!

    I'd have to "fox proof" the chicken coop...I couldn't shoot one just for doing what foxes do.

    You should have embellished the story a bit about how the fox went all 'Matrix' on you.. even stating 'I know kung-fu'.. I give this story a 2/10.. lack of crazy embellishment and an attempt to teach us about the need to maintain a 10/22..

    How many times did you shoot the pig water thing to get a 1/2" hole in it w/ a .22?
