    oh damn, no offence to you but this had me laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair, it reminded me of the shooting my son did during deer season this last year. lots of shooting, ( two different rifles ) no kill, but he swears it was the rifle even though I just took my deer with the same rifle. lol. also had my turn at it years ago. lol great story!!!!

    You should look into a compensator to help reduce your flinch. Maybe double up on the ear pro as well.

    We had a similar experience, had the puppies in the run and heard some terrified whining and there was a critter at the fence trying to make hot lunch out of our chocolate lab puppy. The moral to the story is that the .204 Ruger is a great critter cartridge.
