    Default California compliant lower

As I sit here perusing Larue Tactical, I was looking at the billet lower for sale
at a reasonable price. I am looking at one day getting one ordered and building a bada**
AR with all the crap I like and top notch components to make it a full on
    LT fanboys wet dream.

Well I come across something in the lower type options section. It has a California compliant
lower option that is obviously for those behind enemy lines. I am very disturbed by this find.

I always have liked what Barrett has done and won't ship to California
due to their BS firearm laws and how much they infringe on law abiding citizens
    2nd Amendment rights.

I am honestly dissapointed about how Larue is "catering" to California instead of taking a stand
and in long run may have an impact on firearm laws in that sh*thole state.
I guess I will write Mark a letter about my dissapointment on this and am seriously considering
going with another manufacturer that doesn't cater to California's socialist laws.

I see your point but I also see a manufacturer choosing to not leave Californians high and dry behind enemy lines so to speak. I'm pretty sure all California compliant means is they install a bullet button. Most every major manufacturer sells CA complaint stuff. It's a market too large to ignore.

I think it is better to have something than nothing at all. Not sure how it is done on an AR but the law says you have to use a tool to remove the mag.

On a Fal they just put a set screw in the release. This is fully reversible in seconds. I can see how it could be done on an AR but then you would have to use a tool each time to add ammo. Fal's are popular because one can get a stripper clip top cover to turn it into an oversized SKS.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Mark Larue has a huge following with the california guys. They begged, pleaded, griped and moaned and finally got larue rifles into the state.

Mark has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the cali guys.

The law is what it is, a lot of those people are stuck living with the assholes in charge because they can't move for whatever reason.

I hate cali politics as well, but Mark is a business, is out to make money so he can continuing employing a whole lot of people, making amazing products and being by far the most generous business owner I have EVER seen.

most other manufacturers have CA compliant rifles now. I figure the more guns that get there in that state the better prepared those people are who will go to the lengths to get them. hopefully one day the retarded laws can be changed but for now at least those guys are still able to get AR platforms.

I just imagine CO eventually doing the same thing...with the number of cali libtards moving in here in droves. I could see them wanting to pass something similar and "IF" that were to happen, I could only hope we would still have LaRue weapons available to us.

oh...and I am also very grateful LaRue decided to even sell stripped lowers. for the longest time you couldn't get your hands on one unless you bought an upper to go with it. Lowers would sell stripped for $500 easy then.

As I understand Barret doesn't ship to CA to boycott their specific 50 cal laws. Civilians can't import any new 50's into the state. Their anti-California policy blocks out LEO's for better or for worse.

I'm really happy about the AR workarounds. It speaks to the creative and industrious people there that get rifles in the hands of shooters in spite of stupid laws. There's a healthy and thriving shooting community there and they're doing the best they can with the crappy hand they've been dealt.

If you think Cali will change their laws in the face of being proven stupid check out how CARB almost shut down the L.A. port. When the study they based it on proven to be falsified and published by a complete fraud they didn't role back the legislation.

I personally think it is stupid to not use a brand because they happen to make a California compliant lower, REALLY?

You are very very wrong in this instance, if LaRue did not offer a California compliant version he would be unable to sell to California citizens his product at all.

Punishing LaRue for choosing to help Californians be able to purchase his lower is counter-productive at best.
