In 6 years ammo has gone up 200-400%. I still have surplus that I bought at the following prices. .223 SA brass cased, 11 cents a round. .308 12.9 cents a round. 7.62X54r 7.3 cents. 7.62X25 4.6 cents and 7.62X39 7.5 cents per rd.

Her $60 shoes she bought because Oprah said they are cool 4 years ago will bring $5 at the yard sale.

About storage, what are the best ways to store it incase there is a fire and you don't need to evac a grid square

Ammo cans. Ammo outside of a gun is relativity harmless.

I can tell you that in 1998 when my house burned to the ground, the firefighters were taking cover and one said he hadn't heard a firefight like that since Vietnam. Personally, I would store it in multiple locations. Some in the house, some in the storage shed, some in the camping trailer and so forth. If you do have a fire, you won't loose it all.

Fire is fire and nothing ya going to do about it if it is a real one. Get out and call the INS co. I have an extra $20K rider for the guns and ammo. Does not cover it all but at $25 per year it is cheap INS.

Just a PSA. For most, home INS does not cover squat. Get a rider and sleep safe.

It wasnt until you announced it on a public "gun" forum. I would pay cash, or use a different card with an alias. Make sure it's not waterproof. Sportsmans guide reports large ammo purchases to the Feds and DOJ.
