Good evening all!

I joined in Nov. 2011, and I had to re-join like many of you.

During the string of recent outages, I have been helping Foxtrot get the site and server back online, and begun discussions regarding increased site reliability. I own a rack at a local data-center, which is very close to my business and home. It is very likely that parts/pieces of the site will be implemented or moved to my infrastructure for better reliability. It is yet to be determined whether the main site will be moved, or a fail-over mirror backup will be implemented at my rack. The other will be implemented on the current servers. Foxtrot is setting up an audit-able account for donations, and I feel it is important to let you know that the hosting, power, space, backups and bandwidth (as long as bandwidth doesn't become insane) will be donated to the site by me. Your donations will help other areas of the site. If bandwidth becomes insane (more than 4x the current amount), that is the only piece that donations may subsidize.

I have been made a moderator to facilitate these transitions for better hosting, backups, server, etc. Even though my name now shows up in orange rather than green, I plan to observe and let the current moderation team show me how they have run and made this board successful.

I am grateful to be able to give back and improve this forum. Thank you all for making it a place that I enjoy.
