Default Noveske Chainsaw N4 Gen II Lower

So I picked up a Noveske Chainsaw lower the other day. The "Chainsaw" part just means that it is cosmetically blemished, but otherwise OK. I gotta say, the lower is sweet, and it is really tough to see any blemishes unless you look really close. And the $$$ savings is pretty nice too. Totally worth getting, IMO.

I don't know how all of them look or what other companies will let pass their inspections, but if you have the chance to pick one up, you might want to consider it.

I'd post better pics, but my lower is currently with my SOT [insert devilish laugh smilie]

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    Thumbs up

I picked up a Gen 1 chainsaw, very nice lowers. I like the Gen 2 magwells as well.

Very nice! Is the light rollmark the "blemish"?

No, it had some very, very small scratches and a tiny dent somewhere on it. Honestly, it looked brand new or possible as if it's been to the range maybe once or twice. If it wasn't marked as their chainsaw model, you'd probably never now the difference. On the bottom of the trigger guard it's got a little picture of a chainsaw like this:

The Noveske symbol is pretty visible, it just doesn't show up well in the picture. On the opposite side of the magazine well is the manufacturer and their location, and no caliber marking.

Like I said, I don't know what qualifies as "blemished" for other manufacturers, but if you wanna save a few bucks on an otherwise expensive lower, I would go with the blemished one. I saved about $75 on this one.

No problem. Just make sure you shop around, as price differences on the blemished lowers can vary by $50 between different dealers.

BCM sells blemished lowers too, FYI. I've heard nothing but goodness about those guys.

I was worried about going with a chainsaw but I can't really find any blemishes and once it's all together it didn't matter anymore.

I'm gonna take a stab and say one of these:

But I generally do not know what I'm talking about.

We'll have to wait for Rooskibar to chime in.
