Default Install Trijicon Night Sights to my G23 ..? Tools..?

Thinking about adding Trijicon Night Sights to my G 23 and can't decide if I should also pick up a sight tool or not... I'm kind of leaning towards the MGW Sight Installation tool that I've seen... I have several other handguns of various makes that have adjustable sights but other than that, I doubt I'll ever need the tool after I install the Trijicons... What's the general consensus, use the purpose made tools or simply install with a punch...? I've read the Trijicon sights are kind of fragile to be installing with the punch and hammer method... :?:

Order a set of Heinie straight 8s. Get a brass punch and some red locktite.

Easy. Even a caveman could do it.

I checked them out... Kind of like those "straight 8's" now that I see what they are all about... I also found a "Heinie" install thread where a guy uses his drill press ( for leverage ) and a backward installed drill bit to drift the rear sight... Good thing is I own a drill press already so I may give that a try...

I actually ended up with TruGlo Tritium FOPS in Green for my G23... Install was easy once I figured out that the front sight from TruGlo has a screw that holds the sight tight to the receiver from below... That's not clear from the instructions... The rear sight I installed using a drill press for leverage and that made it alot easier... Haven't shot over them yet but will today... These sights glow very bright in dark conditions and show up even in bright light... They are so bright, I can see the sights in pitch black darkness on my nightstand which is nice... Definately an improvement over the stock Glock sights so far...

Shot the G23 over these new sights and they work much better than the stock sights... Conditions were bright sunshine with snow on the ground and the sights sand out very well even with that much light... A huge improvement over stock... [postal]
