Back with the red light camera stuff, a friend of mine got a ticket with a nice picture of him behind the wheel of his wife's car- the ticket? "Over the line while stopped at a red light." ??? He was stopped, didn't run the light, no his tire was a few inches beyond the white line and bumper partially in the crosswalk! OMG! Cost: $75.00. Bullshit if you ask me...

the other thing about the license plates is people from out of state are exempt because many states do not have front plates at all

also my wife got the same ticket.

Granted the money for the ticket if you own one of these is no big deal, but if I did own one it would be a matter of principal dammit!

I had this happen in Ohio(different state I know) and told them my car had no place to attach a front plate, something like 30 states don't require a front plate, and I'm not about to drill holes in my bumper to satisfy some stupid law that is only enforced in one city and has been targeted for removal by the house of reps every year for 5 years.

They didn't give a flying f and made me pay it.

    it wouldn't make any money.

Never.. have 3 of them at the moment - from city of greenwood village and denver. I have a full time lawyer employed for our office too - same advice.

The city of Denver even admitted, it's almost voluntary, but they raised almost $1million a year from this scam.
