no i paid 70 . 40 for the ticket and another 30 for the delivery and yes it is a big deal when you pay for a parents bills a pregnant wife and trying to move . that extra 30 bucks is not breaking the bank but i can think of a whole lot better places to put it .

*The principle being that how F'ing DARE Denver tell me that I owe THEM money for not having a front plate on my car. It is against their rule, but they are not out any money for me having done so. It is RIDICULOUS for them to tell me that I owe MORE money, because I didn't pay them when they asked. It's not the same as defaulting on a loan or not paying for a purchase. Denver didn't lose money because I parked with no plate, and fuck them for telling me that I owe them MORE, for not paying what I never owed in the first place.

**Cops, yes I know that is against the law. I don't care.
Debtor's prison. Many states are doing this questionable activity

There's even hospitals getting in on the act with 'hiring' collection agency staff that appear to be hospital staff, who will 'persistently inquire' as to how you're gonna pay the bill!

Yeah hospitals/medical bill collections are getting bad. My father passed away last October, he didn't leave me anything to work with and no plans, no estate, no life insurance. Took what I could scrounge up to take care of his funeral costs. Luckily he was a veteran. He had many little debts with collectors hounding me day in and night months later. Sent them copies of death certificate etc. His auto insurance even after they got what they needed kept calling for collecting hoping I would pay I guess. Finally after yelling at them on the phone threatening to sue them they stopped.

I got one red light ticket right before I moved ages ago, sent to my old address where I shared an apartment with a friend. I ignored it my friend said they tried to serve me, he just told them I moved and no clue where I lived now. Never heard a thing from them.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
