i agree with the OP. Yes its not against the law, and should not be. BUT people now-a-days need to learn some personal responsibility for their actions...

everyone knows you shouldn't be smoking with babies in the car, so stop being lazy and get out of the car. as the adult and more importantly the parent/grandparent/ect get your ass away from your offspring when you smoke. i dont think its much to ask adults to act and think like adults

Tax each pack about $10 and we'll see where the smokers priorities really are.

Good idea, we should also tax salt like that since that isn't good for you either.
And anything with high fructose corn syrup. I hear alcohol is bad for you so lets tax the piss out of that, then we wont have so many alcoholics.

Now what really takes a toll on human lives in the US is car accidents, we should raise taxes on gas and diesel by 300%. This will keep people from driving as much and decrease the death toll.

I like the way this is going!

Agree - no need for more nannyism from our well-meaning overlords. Can't legislate stupid into extinction.

Education, that will solve quite a few of these problems. Ignorance is no excuse for being stupid.

Just about to post this. The OP said he wanted to kick the nasty parent's butts. I don't see what that has to do with new laws, police states, court precedence, etc.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.
