Most of the "convert you're rifle to a bullpup" stock kits suck even worse than factory bullpups. It's simple physics ... add a bunch of long levers and such and you just can't get as smooth, light and crisp a trigger as you can where the trigger is only a fraction of an inch from the sear.

Also part of the point of a .308 rifle is long range precision ... need a good trigger for that.

I love the idea of bullpup rifles ... I really do. But every one I've shot (couple of AK conversions, a Muzzelite Marlin and an AUG) all had mushy triggers that reminded me of a weed eater, not a rifle. If a bullpup conversion has a decent trigger I'm there.
First off, your Timney trigger, isn't that great. It's great for one you can buy, but it isn't that great.... Send it to BP and let him show you what I mean. Second, I don't know about Ak conversions, never had one, never worked on one. Your Aug however can have a great trigger. The trick to a bullpup is getting rid of the slop in all of the connections, closing some of the gaps, polishing, and just making sure the parts fit tight and move nicely. It can also be accomplished in the FS2000's. It's just time and money, or if you can do it yourself, time. Look at all the hand guns out there with trigger bars, same damn thing, just shorter. You can get an amazing trigger out of an Hk or Beretta. I'm not saying that they are as great as a well done 1911 trigger, or in a rifle's case, a nice 700 or something, what I'm saying is that you can make them pretty damn good with time, or money.

The crux of the matter, boiled down to two sentences. Anything is possible, even hard things, if you throw enough money at the problem.
    9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm

    Very true unfortunately.

I love the concept behind bullpup weapons... I'm not too impressed with this one here. My favorite bullpups on earth are the IMI Tavor MTAR-21

and the L85A2... hey it works for the SAS!

I've only shot one bullpup and I can't remember what it was, but mag changes were surprisingly easy and intuitive. Maybe Bailey Guns will chime in since I shot it with him, he might be able to tell you what the rifle was.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

I got the email this morning on this chassis. I have a couple socoms and they are my favorite handi rifles. Would like to see some reviews. Have to say the bull pup looks awesome but looks are not important as the the rifles intended purpose.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Tavor get released here. Charles Daly was working on it when they went under a couple years ago. But they've reorganized and are trying to do it again.

Me too! I love that weapon- I've been dying to get my hands on one since I first saw it in a report I read while in the Army. Israel sure does have some great weapons- the Uzi, the Galil, now this!

308's also make very good battle rifles. That cartridge isn't just for long range.

To the OP... I say go for it. I have heard that the trigger in the Juggernaut is pretty good. The trigger in a stock M14/M1A/Garand is probably the best military rifle trigger ever made. At least you'll be starting with a good trigger.
