Default Yet another reason to go no where near NYC

So King of the city Bloomberg plans to ban any sugary drink over 16 ounces. No more Venti Starbucks, no more Big Gulps.

Of course if you think about it, this is pure genius. People will be forced to buy 2 smaller drinks at a significantly greater cost.

I'm sure all the folks who questioned the .gov banning anything, in tinelements smoking post, will still doubt IT CAN HAPPEN anywhere ANYTIME.

I hear prostitution and murder is still illegal in nyc too.

But the standard bottle of soda is 20 oz. Also it doesn't apply to "diet" drinks so you can pour all the chemicals you want into your gullet but if it's over the calorie count and has suger it's banned. I hope this does happen just to see the backlash. Imagine guys with truck fulls of soda coming over the NJ border and G-men cracking open boxes of large cups. Can't wait!

I'm too angry over the Jenny McCarthy body count thread to waste my energy on this.

the ban wouldnt apply to grocery stores, convenience stores, dairy products like shakes, and i think a few other cases.

basically u cant get big drinks at restaurants.. but then u can refill it.. so that solved a lot. i just picture soda lovers carrying 2 liter bottles with them everywhere to protest this idiocy

It's been a few years, but 10th Ave, right outside the DEA's building, when the sun went down, the girls (by appearance) started walking. It was part of the ambiance.

I love going to NYC. I couldn't live there. I can't afford the taxes

I liked the right before sunrise shift change ones. they'd offer you and the guys $5 bj's as an end of night comp. Nothing like a freshly rinsed and tooth brushed "lady" wanting to lessen your wallet by a few bucks. bad enough the bridge cost $3. to go home. F%^&k everyone want's your money in the Bad Apple.
