no such thing
pretty much a waste of money
you can get 3 different inspectors, you will get 3 different reports
get a good GC and pay him to walk thru with you.

well I have some fall backs, but if someone has a cool gun supporting gc/home inspector who would put the money to good use (instead of bs lies & feelings) hook a brother up!!!
were are ya located I know a few
NO really
I'm not kidding
the only bigger scam in homebuying is appraisals.
It isn't worth the money
Your eye should find more for a heck of a lot less money.

house is in aurora
I wouldn't agree with ya John ,If ya get one who has the proper training they can be a life saver I have been A licensed GC and am now a home inspector the 2 are completely different .GC's hire subs they don,t know about hvac, electrical, plumb,or roofing ,ect they are usually only good in one field mabey 2 . In OR. you have to be state certified. They dont let you get this with out school, years in approprit trades, referances and some testing .Here its different but there are still some good ones .ITA trained makes the differance the home inspector socites you just pay and they give ya the seal .ITA is an intense school you are tested and if ya dont pass no seal so at least ya know they if they are ITA trained they have some experance plus they should have E&O insurance in case theres a miss of something . I also dont know alot of GC s that go under the house or in the attic, plus if an inspector misses somthing there butts on the line not yours.
Dunno about inspectors, but one of my coworkers is an appraiser and VERY gun friendly (H&K 91, Grizzly .50, Colt somethingorather, etc.). I'll see if he knows any good inspectors tomorrow night when I go back to work.
I pm ya the guys
I am with Brian
For the most part they are a waste
But I do know a guy from my church that actually takes it seriously
Wherabouts are you buying??
