I just saw this article and the reasoning behind it is pretty sound... but I loved #20!

Yep, pretty much.... it's a good read and really makes you shake your head and think of what kind of a nation is going to be left (if any at all) for our children? Of course by this I mean not us, we're the good ones (right!?) but in general... we're doomed...

I think a majority of those things have been going on for a long time but thanks to the internet, we hear about them much more frequently. I definitely think that our society is screwed though.

We are screwed, at least the majority. I hate to say it, but an epidemic of apocolypse proportions is the only way I see society reversing on itself

Downhill spiral. But people said that in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's too. Question is: when? History has taught us that entitlements (or feelings of) are one of the significant factors of the downfall of any civilization. Greeks, Romans, Spanish, French... We are likely next. We can do our best to make the changes but in the end we have to be prepared for the worst.
