Default How to find Next of Kin.

So I bought a 1940s uniform this weekend at the Flea Market. I was going to resell it to some collectors, I googled the name in it and found that the guy did live here in town. I bought it from a storage unit auction buyer. So knowing that I'm curious if the NOK want this uniform. Any idea on how to find them for free? I found a public notice about creditors involved with his estate, so I may try that attorney to see if anyone cares. I checked the Obits but nothing came up. All the people finder sites want me to pay.

    Any suggestions?

I don't know, but I've often wondered if storage unit buyers are required to return important documents to the former owners.... stuff like birth certificates, marriage licenses, vehicle titles, insurance policies, etc. Other posseions, hey, you didn't pay your bill so ya lost 'em. But vital documents, seems like there should be a requirement to return them.

Anyway, good luck with your quest! It's a noble gesture.

There is no such law as long as you don't present them as your own. Those docs would be the last things I'd place in storage.

Nadolny, Stephen. From what I found he was 95 and passed away earlier in the year.

Get the newspaper to run a short blurb saying Joe Nadolny won $200K on a scratch ticket, watch all the "relations" come out of the wood work.

Well, yeah, they'd be the last thing any normal person would put in storage. But watching Storage Wars and those other shows like it, they find all kinds of stuff in those storage units that most normal folks wouldn't dream of storing.

I wonder if the VA might be able to help?

There no app (website) for this?
