Hot Shot? LTL?

Anyone on here do hot shot or LTL owner operater trucking? If so, are you leased on or do you have your own authority?

Considering a career change and have some questions. Would appreciate if anyone has any experience. Not looking for second hand or heresay.

Do your research and watch for hidden money traps. It is not cheap to run your own truck. I don't, but I have friends who do. Times are hard for them right now.

I have been researching alot lately, and i kow what you mean. Tags, insurance(the big killer here), truck note, fuel and maintenence/repairs all get very expensive. But from what i have heard and researched, there is still good money to be made if you're willing to work hard and stay out for a month or more at a time.
