it is advisable to have the tax stamp with you at all times, weather hunting or not, when using the suppressor. I've not run into a game warden yet while hunting with my can on.

In a lot of Scandinavian nations local areas demand you use a suppressor for noise pollution.

    Or a copy of it.

The originals live in the safe.

It is required to have the stamp with the item when out of the house. I have copies in my range bag as it would not be the first time i was 1/2 way there and went #$%^&*, turn around.

Forget any dow ord, NFA items MUST have the documentation with the said part when out & about. I made reduced size copies that fit in my wallet.

my apologies, I think I didn't state the situation correctly that I wanted the ordinance for:

If I get stopped by DOW, I can very easily produce a copy of the form, no problem.

What if Trooper McTuffNutz tells me it's illegal to hunt with them in (insert state name here)..?

Hoser's link says, yes it's legal, but it doesn't give the relevant section. The other side of that is that Trooper McSwizzleStick must cite me for breaking some law or ordinance, then the responsibility is on me for going to court and proving Trooper McClamBake wrong. Sounds like a PITA.

I'll just hunt at night, with NVGs, from my car.
