Well, there are certainly lots of unfriendlies in DC, so I would say it's the same place with marginally better weather. Good luck to you. RLTW.

This! Congrats though... we'll miss you here in the Centennial State, but in the words of a MSG I learned quite a bit from (what he was doing at Drum? HOR) "DC is a magical place, it sucks a big green [you know what] but damn is it ever good for your career in some instances if you play your cards right and rub shoulders with the right folks." Hope you get the good word soon!![]()

"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
I truly don't have a desire to go to D.C. I certainly won't live there, so I will have to commute. There are big opportunities there as well for life after the military. I will just have to wait and see.
I was almost murdered once in DC. Never came close to being murdered in Qatar, so... Tough question. The National Mall area is nice, the rest of the distric is a sh!thole.
To OP, hope it works out for you. I'd rather work in DC than spend another second of my life in Qatar. Or anywhere in the Mid East.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.
Apparently it was NOT divine intervention. I will be packing my bags for Qatar.
