Mike, just to give you a ballpark....mine was put together with all new parts (non donor build) and if I added all the receipts together I'd be just short of $50k
here's the quick breakdown of major stuff
complete kit from factory five $19,000 (i think the kit is now $20K)
IRS suspension $2500
wheels/tires $2500
Paint and body $8,500
crate motor $10,000
Trans- $2500
Then there's the little stuff....Upgraded brakes/rotors/ upgraded leather seats/ rear end/gauges, electrical/ chrome, goodies, etc not counting tools I didn't have and basic shit and doesn't count the 400 labor hours into it
If I was to do it again, I'd save about $4000 on body/paint and use someone else, but the upgrades would easily eat the $4000 up
When it's all said and done, I have a car that's going on the market to maybe get $30,000
There are guys that recently have built complete for $20-25k. Those are guys that buy the base kit for $13k and buy a wrecked mustang and strip it for all the parts needed to transplant to their new chassis ...then do body/paint themselves -this adds labor time (rebuilding the used parts you had to take off something else)
And on the other side, there are guys with $100,000-150,000 into replicas too

He's got about $70k into it. We haven't gotten to drive it yet. When he started test driving it, something in the suspension broke. We're thinking that one of the chrome spring coils had a manufacturing problem, but it'll take at least a few days to order a new one.![]()

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
