Default I need advice on a trade...

Hey guys, I've just been offered a trade for my Bushie Carbon 15 9mm pistol by a gentleman on another website, and wanted your opinions of it. I've got two questions:

#1 - does it seem like a good trade to you? It does to me, but there could be something I'm missing.

#2 - Are CETME parts interchangeable with G3/HK91 parts? If I took the trade, I'd probably be wanting to swap out/mod some parts. I owned a CETME before once, but ended up selling it and regretting it. I realize Century isn't the best company in the world for quality, but I also have a JLD PTR-91, so it would probably just be a knocking around fun gun.

Here's what he's offering me in trade...

"I have the following package deal to
propose that I think will interest you:

-CETME G3 clone (guessing less than 300 rounds fired) - This rifle
shoots great and is in excellent
condition. I have yet to have a FTF or FTE from it. I am the
    second owner. Previous owner
replaced the cheap plastic stocks with the much nicer wood ones.
-5 original steel CETME mags (curved)
-2 new in Wrap HK steel mags (straight)
    -HK sling
    -New CETME sight tool
    -New CETME manual
    -New spare firing pin spring
-275 rounds non-corrosive military ball ammo
    and...
-Smith and Wesson M&P Model 10 38 Spl - This is now collectible as it
    was a former RHKP (Royal
Hong Kong Police) issue police weapon. It shoots great and still
    has the lanyard ring intact."

Thanks in advance for your input guys!

At best a CETME is $300 new. So unless the model 10 appaises at $500-$600, Not really worth it, IMO, even with the mags and other stuff. If I remember right, there are a few parts that interchange but not all.

If I could find a Cetme for $300, I'd jump on it! Who's selling them for $300? Maybe I don't need the trade.

Whoohoo!! Even better! Pretty pretty please with a Sierra Matchking .308 on top? lol. Ok, that's even too corny for me. I would LOVE to purchase your Cetme - when would you be available to meet? Then I could keep my Carbon 15 AND have a Cetme truck gun! This feels like my birthday! Seriously though, I would jump at the chance to buy yours for around that price range - how much exactly do you want for it? I can meet any time Thurs, Fri, or Sat, and am willing to drive pretty much anywhere in the northern half of the state to get to you. (I drove up to Vail a while ago to get the Carbon 15, so that shows my dedication. lol.)

    Caliber,

Beware CETME's by Century. I have one and it is fine, but I know some owners who haven't been so lucky. IE: headspacing is set piss poor, extractors springs are weak, etc. Parts are cheap though.

Most, but not all parts, are interchangeable. Go to http://www.cetmerifles.com/forum/index.php
and get the full skinny. I put a HK wide forearm stock on mine and it took a little "modifying".

HK mags don't work in mine, the mag catch is not the same (?), the mag doesn't insert fully, and the bolt can't capture the rim of the round. Might be just mine, I dunno.

If Marlin sells you his for that price (which is good, the typical price is $400 +), better than one sight unseen and not inspected. Just my 2 cents.
