    Default Volunteer Work Ideas

    Hey folks,

My team at work is looking to do some volunteer work as a group, so I'm looking for ideas. I would like it to be related to vets.

Any ideas, events or contacts that you can send me? There would probably be ten or so of us.

    Thanks for your input

    Handjobs for the homeless?
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

    Why, are you homeless?

There are all sorts of great things you can do for vets, depends on what you want to do. From being a VA volunteer to working with the VFW's to helping out around places like Fort Logan. It seems like every week I see something for a new vet charity.

My daughters and I volunteered at Food Bank of the Rockies for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter this year. While it wasn't JUST veterans we were helping, there definitely were some in the group.

The bank always needs help...and they do good work

I volunteer at a ranch on the weekends that does equine therapy for anyone and everyone you can imagine. They do vets and active during the week. I know there's a few around the Denver area as well.

It's really great work...even if it's just shoveling shit or cleaning out a stall, it feels pretty good.
