Get off your ass, fix one project, then the next, then the next until everything is in order. When you are done, you'll realize that YOU were the cause of your stress and you don't need a break anymore. Then you can build an adventure bike and have a good time between the times you aren't maintaining your life like an adult.
No kids and no obligations other than the service right now.

The reason I've stacked piled shit so high is because I was having a lot of problems concentrating, prioritizing, focusing, etc. etc. which sort of came about in the past year. Mostly issues stemming from some previous experiences. I was just recklessly running around doing whatever while I bottle all my issues up.

Technically, you're nor supposed to bring a firearm on the AT . . . but there are some really bad people who lurk on that trail sometimes, and they often have one. As long as you're not with a female and aren't covered in expensive gear and look somewhat competent and really pissed off they'll probably leave you alone. Things to look out for are guys without any camping gear (usually they don't even have a daypack), especially if they're close to a town or parking area and look like they've been in the same spot for hours (beer cans and cigarette butts). Sometimes they'll even show up at your campsite after dark without a flashlight. A lot of stupidity happens on that trail every year.

    Good to know.

When I hike Pikes Peak I do it on the railway (I know, I know, that's a no-no) and I open carry. Sort of. I sort of just carry it in my hand. I'm more scared of mountain lions than I am trigger happy fish and wildlife officers.

Mountain lions, spiders, and some other shit I'm not going to talk about.

Well, if you need to clear out any unfinished or even finished firearms projects,
I can back my truck up to your door and you can toss them all into the bed. I'll haul them off for you so that you are never troubled by them again......

A report date that was 6 months away. I figured as long as I made it to the Denver MEPS on the date and time they wanted me...

Damn. If the Trans was 30 years older, or Nick had made a better choice in options on that truck (4x4 and cab size), we'd be talking business.
Which reminds me I need to text him...

It's a different age but back in "67" when I got out I hitchhiked around the country. Kind of stopped when I needed to get some money and worked construction type jobs and then moved on. Ended up at Woodstock and then I settled down for awhile.
We used to call it wanderlust. I don't regret one minute but I bet I would have if I just had thought about it. DO IT !!
