Actually the Fed owns most of our shit (debt) to the tune of 1.88 Trillion dollars. China owns a mear 1.16 Trillion and isn't really loaning anymore.
And as one of my good clients who frequents China a lot said, don't fool yourself, they are very much Capitalists.
And of course whoever work there is chinese, right?
And the Sales Tax you pay on your ticket, will finance a chinese school....
I have no problem with the foreign ownership of companies/corporation as long as the jobs stay here and benefit the local economy.
