Does this mean that my Honor Roll Student isn't special? But I have a bumper sticker.
It was a good speech. Reading biographies has taught me that everyone is special in there own way at a specific time. Live life. Be safe.
great post.. really loved that...
I dont know i havent graduated? I have done some college. HS diploma and GED are pretty much equivalent in the private sector. GED took 2 hours of my time, i wasted 3 years in high school to learn lies about history. My wife also has her GED, i dont think either one of us have ever had to show it for a job or been asked about it? When i enlisted the Army wouldnt accept GEDs but i had enough credits from the comm college to get in.
Graduating high school, I agree, its not special. College yes, basic yes, 3rd grade no.
I think college is over-rated, too (with some exceptions). I know a lot of people with college degreees that are very stupid.
But is it an achievement? Sure, in some ways.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.
His last part nulified the rest of his entire speech, but I liked the YLOO part.

Accomplishment does not come at 18, or 23. It comes after a long life course of living life to the betterment of those whom you have touched in life. That growth and education should never stop throughout you life 8 to 80. That is what makes for a life lived rather than just endured. Just my 2 cents.

its a life lesson that they will learn eventually might as well be told about it now.
Grab a straw and suck it up.
thats what happens when the government gives too many loans out. if the free market were the only way to finance college degrees then people would realize very quick that a gay and lesbian diversity in asian culture degrees aren't worth the tuition + 15% interest rate and no income potential, but degrees with practical and economic impacts to society that charge tution + 5% interest rate and make good money are the way to go. Now we have too many loans funding too many dumb degrees for too many dummies. government doesnt take into account risk of no repayment or supply/demand for certain labor.
i agree, there were more idiots in my college graduating class then people i would want to open a partnership with
