They are illegal aliens. A illegal alien cannot own firearms as far as i know. Could be wrong though
Proof-positive that the powers that be don't actually care about illegal immigration. It's a talking point but if they aren't going to do anything about illegals shooting up their backyard, it's evident (to me at least) that it's better to be illegal than not. If I took a shot at a gas canister in my backyard, I'd likely hear sirens inside of five minutes and be wearing shiny bracelets shortly thereafter...

Nope not wrong... As posted by Byte possession of a firearm by an illegal alien is against the law and carries 10-15 year sentence. I think they should prosecute these asshats to the full extent of the law!
I don't care what country you come from, here illegally is still ILLEGAL, do it the right way- we have some members here who are either immigrants or have immigrant spouses that did it right, I applaud anyone who follows the rules, and works to better their life by contributing to our society, and I despise those who just come here to leech of the system and live here for years without even trying to gain lawful citizenship.

I suppose when they got the gun, the seller likely didn't ask if they were a LEGAL resident.

nah, Eric Holder probably just forced them to sell it to him.
Who knows if the seller they got the gun from had it legally either. Sucks someone had to die, but hopefully they learned their lesson, and hopefully the "justice" system does its job.
