    Welcome.

    As you can see, there are plenty of us in the north Denver metro, including one of the easiest to work with and all round good gunsmiths; BPTactical, just around the corner from Westy.

    My recommendation is the same as others: buy a stripped lower and build it out with the lower parts kit and stock you want. Buy your first complete upper just to get shooting. Begin collecting magazines now. IMO, you never can have too many magazines, just like you can never have too much ammunition.

    After you settle into the types of shooting you want to do, you will add optics (or not), change hand guards (or not), depending on what you want to do. Eventually you will either build or buy another upper to do something different. The accessories (AR addiction) never end. Enjoy!
