Default I need to get motivated.

I have so many damn projects/hobbies/etc and I want to whittle it all down to...one, two, maybe three at the most.

I really want a nice adventure bike. Something maintenance free and reliable. I need to get rid of my race car and second truck first and I can't even find the damn energy to clean and tune them up to sell. I'm half tempted to just take the loss on them and call it a day to get out from under them.

    Anyways, I'm just rambling.

You ever have so much going on that you sort of clutter your own life up, but in the end, it's just your own doing?

    That's how I feel.

I take ammo (.45 acp, .308) for service

Yep... I had the same problem.

Simple solution... take one thing at a time. Go buy that bike, and maybe it'll help you sell your stuff just so you could catch up with the bills you've accumulated with your new purchase....

    ... it worked for me

Yep...I fell ya. I need to clean my garage. I need to sort through and throw away a lot of stuff.

But after working a full week, taking call-outs, and running a business on the weekends I'm supposed to do all of the things I need to do when?

Freakin' life gets in the way of living sometimes.

You're not alone if it makes you feel any better.

I'll be getting out of the Army in the future and I was considering going Jeremiah Johnson on the world and just leaving everything in storage for a while. Just getting on a bike and leaving. Walking the Appalachian trail, working a ranch in the North, one of those sorta things. Settle the bills, debts, get rid of the payments and major responsibilities and go have an adventure. It feels odd not finding a reason that could keep me from doing that.

Yea it would. I think riding to the south end of the applaichain trail, having the bike shipped up north, and walking through would be fucking killer.

That sounds like a ton of fun. While I was waiting to ship out to basic training I had a lot of "nothing stopping me from going anywhere I want, wtf am I still doing sitting here?" moments.

Now about these vehicles you're trying to get rid of....?

If you don't have kids or a other obligations, I'd say you had better get your ass on the trail, for the sake of all the people that CAN'T do it.

HOWEVER, if you are one of those people who get stressed out over all the little things you need to do and think you need a vacation to save you from your stress, then I'd say you need a good back hand instead. Get off your ass, fix one project, then the next, then the next until everything is in order. When you are done, you'll realize that YOU were the cause of your stress and you don't need a break anymore. Then you can build an adventure bike and have a good time between the times you aren't maintaining your life like an adult.
