    Default AV guys, question

So I'm ditching the cable and just going to stream. Hulu, NetFlix, etc. I'm using my Xbox for it on my living room TV and a Roku for the bedroom. It is going to save me a whole ass ton of money as my comcast bill suddenly went up to over $220. We watch most of our stuff off of DVR/on-demand anyways.

    My question is this:
Both of my televisions are actually "monitors" I guess. One is a 52", on a 42". Neither has a built in tuner. They are both LCD 1080p, etc. How or what device has a tuner that I can get OTA programming so I can watch the news and most importantly, Broncos games?

The only tuners I have found are the digital to analog converters for older TVs. Watching SD on an HDTV is not an option, it looks like total ass. All of the ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners I find are made for PCs.

    What say you?

    Default VCR

Im using an old VCR. Antenna to digital OTA box...then to the VCR...then to the Sony LCD tv. The tv has no tuner! The VCR is set to channel 3. The VCR has the cable TV type connections input, output to the monitor with RCA type jacks cable. I watch DVD's from DVD player from HDMI cable. I made the new technology integrate with the old. It's a cluster f*^K, but it works for me...

If you get one of those analog to digital converters that has an output that can connect to your monitor (like HDMI), it should work just fine. They typically have an ATSC tuner built in, so something like this should work

I did find that one, was just hoping not to have to spend that kind of $$.

Yes my TV has HDMI, 4 or 5 inputs. Those A to D converters don't have HDMI outputs, and they are low definition. It isn't an old TV, just didn't think I'd ever get rid of cable. TV is approx 2009 model.

You can for sure find them for cheaper, that was just the first one I found. You should be able to find one at Best Buy, etc, and they range from $30 to an ass load.

I wish. At BestBuy, Micro-center, WalMart, etc they only sell the D to A converter. Believe me I've checked. The jerkoffs at BestBuy looked at me like I was speaking Klingon when I asked them about one.

If you looked at the list there were many "discontinued" ones. Some of the ATSC tuners in those are very good but then they were asking a lot of coin for them back then.

Many of the older ones are also going to be RGB output as HD was here but HDMI was not. My Sony is that way.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.
