Reading "Headshot" about the assassination of JFK and next will be "Running with cowboy boots on" an autobiography by Dan Maes, the trainwreck of a GOP governor candidate we recently had.
“Every good citizen makes his country's honor his own, and cherishes it not only as precious but as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defense and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it.” Andrew Jackson

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I haven't been able to make it to the library or a book store so I've been re-reading my Clive Cussler Oregon Files books.

That's the trouble with the Nook and Kindle-you don't have to go anywhere if you have WiFi

Just finished Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers"
As is always the case, the book is far better than the movie...

Getting ready to start "The Pirate Hunter: The True Story of Captain Kidd" by Richard Zacks. Found it in the clearance section of Barnes and Noble for $3.99.... Gotta love the deals
