No Shooting in National Forests Now? (Merged)
Going camping this weekend and my buddy said he heard somewhere that all the national parks in Colorado were banning shooting because it might spark a fire. Sounds like B.S. to me, but thought I would see if anyone else heard of this nonsense? I mean, it's dry out there, but hell I was just at Guanella this past weekend in a torrential downpour!

Check with the ranger office for the area you're camping in. They'll let you know about any bans.

just wait, a shooting ban implemented to "prevent ignition sources" will become permanent in some areas regardless of conditions.

Yes, work mates started a fire out at Pawnee National Grasslands, but the idiots were shooting tracers.

I love camping, shooting, BBQing, etc!! But where I live and going through that last fire BS!! On Evac notice for a week!! MX'r had to Evac. not knowing if one has a home to go home too??? FNG SUCKS!!! I support any thing for any type of fire restriction ban they dish out!!
