    Shoulder holster...

I'm glad he wasn't seriously hurt and will recover.

Jim, I'm assuming this guy wasn't trying to scarf up your range brass, you were no where near this incident, and have alibi witnesses lined up around the corner to testify on your behalf

I guess I should be used to it by now but I hate the way the media words these things to allways make it sound as if the weapon mysteriously "discharged" or "went off" as if with no input from its owner.

That's because that's what they think and believe, and what they want everyone else to think and believe. Guns are dangerous, guns kill.

A revolver? Gotta keep dem fingers off de trigger until ready to fire and make sure the hammer is NOT cocked while attempting to holster the revolver.

Between that and hitting the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal makes it looks like us "older" mature folks should not screw around with anything mechanical anymore.

Funny thing is the "Cleaning Accidents" and most other Accidental Discharges can be prevented by one simple thing, KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF OF THE TRIGGER! Glad he is ok but its just another black eye on the shooting community.

That sucks. I have ALWAYS been taught to treat every weapon as if it is loaded and keep your finger out of the trigger guard. Guess this old timer didnt get that memo.
