Default Home A/C People - Question

My furnace / A/C doesn't work & the HVAC dude can't make it over until Sunday.

I hope I can at least give it a temporary fix, because it's frickin' hot.

The A/C compressor works, but the main furnace / A/C fan does not. I can hear / feel the PC board click on like it wants to turn on the fan, but it doesn't.

    Any ideas? Thanks much!

If you have a volt meter see if its sending power to the motor. If not bad board or fuse if it is bad motor.

Get a styrofoam cooler, fill with ice, cut two holes in the lid, one the size of a small fan (oh, and get a small fan) and the other about the same size. affix fan to one hole ... maybe use duct tape if it won't stay on it by itself.

    You get the idea

push start the fan by hand. if it fires up its the fans start cap. if it doesn't it could be the blower motor
