How much barrel rotation / cant is too much?
Well, I've taken my new S&W 627 out to the range a few times and each time I need to tweak the sights. At first I was worried that I had dropped the revolver or tweaked something on accident. After closer inspection I can see that the barrel is slowly twisting counter clockwise after a shooting session. I can still compensate with the rear sights, but just was wondering if this is something that I should return to the factory right away or keep shooting?

If I had a son he would look like....Ben
Call S&W, they will send you an RMA and shipping label. Taking it back to the gun shop is a waste of time, and they will tell what I just did.
S&W has an outstanding customer service.

Return. Barrel shouldn't rotate.

Good deal. I have heard good things about their customer service. Will call Monday and see how this goes. Thanks for the advice!

It took me a while to get it shipped off. S&W said 4-6 weeks for the repair, but they returned it last week. Total time was around 2 weeks including shipping time! Pretty darned good customer service. Now hopefully the barrel will stay put
