If thats the whole truth i hope he gets justice and takes them to the cleaners! Theirs no place for cops like that. Their may be another side to the story who knows?

Those King guys don't fair so well with the po-lice.
Is there anyone here who believes Mr. King would have been better off fighting with the police in this incident?
I still have faith in the justice system. I have little other choice. I pray that justice will be done in this incident and that bad cops everywhere, where they exist, lose their jobs, and are punished to the full extent of the law.
Be safe.
not regarding the story but...
I think the incidents of cops doing wrong are declining. I know it looks the opposite. I know many old time cops from across the country. Many of them have talked to me about the beatings they doled out, And saw doled out.
Since the Rodney King incident, cops are being watched by everyone in society. And now with video and picture phones, that instantly upload to the internet, I believe the rate will continue to drop.
Oversight is good, watching the elected officials and LEO is good. Its good for America, its good for citizens.
Now, the militarization of our police force is another story.

I think Pavlov would say it's not their fault. Black man + gun = beat the shit out of him.
Damn! Messed up, hopefully the officers get their just desserts if Kings story is the truth.

Yes, fighting them in court. Sue the bejesus out of them for excessive force and whatever else. He did nothing wrong, he even said he wasn't resisting, but never fight them in the street, especially if there are more than one of them. I'd rather fight police brutality in court than have to defend myself in court for shooting a cop in legal defense for abuse of power. I do think that there are more good cops than bad, but when you encounter a bad one- if you don't feel your life in immediate danger- best to fight it out after the fact in the court room.
Cstone, your "be safe" is one of the most appropriate departing lines.
