Two arrested for burglarizing home in Waldo Canyon Evacuation area

EL PASO COUNTY - Two burglary suspects were arrested Thursday for allegedly breaking into an unoccupied home in the Waldo Canyon Fire evacuation area.
Belinda Yates, 38, and Shan Garrett, 36, were booked into the El Paso County Jail under a myriad of charges, including 2nd degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said the pair broke into a home in a Colorado Springs subdivision that was evacuated as a result of the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Investigators say the two were in possession of meth at the time of their arrests in Monument.
The CBI and El Paso County investigators are looking to see if other homes were targeted by the pair.
