I know as little about what really happened as everyone else in here. That being said, I firmly believe that this was most likely a case of some typical yuppy seeing the sign and thinking that it was a reference to Obama, then getting all butthurt offended and tearing down the sign. I believe you are really overthinking the incident when you say that it was a premeditated hate crime intended as an affront to your spiritual/religious/whatever beliefs.

I was on her a year or 2 ago, the vets on board were talking about necessary dredging, etc. Love those WW2 ships! How hard would it be for the gov't to designate 100 mil or so to renovate some of the old floating museums? Let's not even get started talking about the Olympia!!

How many actually KNOW the man?

I have known Luigi and Ang for near 5 years and would not hesitate to invite them into my home anytime. Good people that work hard and are genuine and honest. He is the type that if you hollered for his help, he would be there.

While I expect you'll get the same level of effort/resolution to what happened to you as I got when someone smashed my car window & stole a few things, I think you're doing the right thing by reporting & perusing this. Good luck.
