The version in the OP isn't bad. I find it incredibly funny (funny strange...not funny ha-ha or queer) that so many "professionals" screw up our national anthem. We have liberal radio hosts (Bill Press) and others saying it's poorly written and can't be sung properly.

I make no apology for wanting a national anthem people can sing. Why not God Bless America? Or America the Beautiful? Or Battle Hymn of the Republic? Any one of them are better than the unsingable, militaristic Star-Spangled Banner.

First of all, it ranges two octaves; most people can only do, kind of, one octave. I mean when you think about it, it’s bombs bursting in air, rocket’s red glare.

Really, Bill? Here's a version sung by Daves Highway. And they're self-taught teenagers, singing in their living room, without a huge staff and assistants and a band, or any instrumental accompaniment. Not only do they get the words right but they sound damn good doing it.

I agree, when the Blaze article said the singer [changed the words a little and is not ashamed], it certainly made me cringe. I'm not a big music guy any more, but I think this generation needs all the help it can get.

...and those Amazing Child Singers are.... well amazing!
